Direct Bondings

Direct Bondings
A simple procedure right in our office can transform your smile. Dental bonding uses a tooth-colored composite paste to fill in or shape teeth and fix a variety of cosmetic issues, including chips, cracks, discoloration, and more.

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns & Bridges
For patients who are missing multiple teeth, a bridge can span the gap, supporting the surrounding teeth and facial muscles while providing a base for custom-made replacement crowns that look like your own teeth.

Implants

dental implants

Teeth Whitening Services

This is the procedure of making teeth whiter, and therefore more attractive. Our office uses passive tray whitening and professional strength white strips.

The tray method involves having impressions taken from which laboratory fabricated custom vinyl trays are made. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays are worn for about 30 minutes to 3 hours. The entire process takes 3-4 weeks of daily use. Three different strengths of gel may be used, however the higher the strength the greater the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is recommended for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take several months of use to see significant color improvement. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays should be used every several months.
As Custom Fit Trays are more effective.
Opalescence Go is the professional alternative to over-the-counter whitening options. It's a simple, fast, and great-tasting way to start a whitening treatment or for whitening touch-ups. With no impressions or custom trays necessary, Opalescence Go is ready to use right out of the package!

Headache Therapy

NTI Plus – NTI is a dental appliance for the treatment of migraine pain and associated tension headaches. NTI is a product made exclusively at NDX. By reducing muscle contraction intensity during parafunctional activity, the NTI-tss Plus minimizes tooth wear, reduces joint strain and disc load and decreases muscle tension leading to fewer migraines and morning headaches.

Veneers

Veneers are a non-reversible dental procedure in which a covering, usually made of porcelain, is placed over the outside of the tooth. Veneers are usually only attached to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect. Which should you choose? Read on, or call Gregory E Utecht DDS  to discuss your concerns.

TMJ treatment

TMJ stands for Temporal-Mandibular Joint: temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular, as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint, as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Where the two bones meet, cartilage acts as a buffer, and five muscles govern their movement. If something goes wrong with any of them, a good deal of trouble and pain can result.

Problems in this joint may be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle tension, and can result in:
  • Headaches
  • Earaches
  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth
  • Clicking or popping of the jaw
  • Pain in the jaw muscles
  • Soreness in other areas of the face
Your dentist can offer any number of treatments to relieve your TMJ, including:
  • Replacing missing teeth
  • Moving teeth
  • Adjusting the bite
  • Filling gaps between teeth
Customizing a plastic mouthpiece to prevent clenching or grinding
There is no one solution that is right for all cases, but if left untreated and taken to extremes, surgery may be required to repair a badly damaged Tempero-Mandibular Joint. Before it gets to this point, make an appointment with Gregory E Utecht DDS . We'll get to the bottom of your pain, and get you on the path to permanent relief.
